Property details

This property is set in a stunning mountainous and rural environment yet, still close enough to Salt Lake City and ski resorts to have all the amenities at close hand of a major metropolitan area. Sunrises illuminate the Stansbury Mountains to the west, and Sunsets often paint the Oquirrh (Oak-er) Mountains to the East. Deseret Peak is the prominent Peak this way, and the trailhead is approximately 45 minutes from the house, and sits at 11,031’. It’s a very nice detour from the often over-crowded Wasatch Front.

Don’t be surprised if you have to wait for our neighborhood peacocks to cross the road, or if someone is riding their horse down the street. The “back 40” is the 100 thousand or so acres of public access/use Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land that sit directly behind the property. There you can do all kinds of activities including horseback riding, motorcycle riding, Side By Side riding, and hundreds of miles of single and double track dirt roads.

There are locals that rent these machines, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you could book a horseback riding lesson, or tour by reaching out on the “Tooele 411” Facebook page. (Tooele=*Too-ellah*).

Directly behind the property, to the east, in addition to the open country, there is an access path with a well kept gravel walking/jogging trail.
